Agnatus Sapiens

A nameless empire on Ancient Earth rose to powerful stature. Advanced technology enabled it to place billions of colonists on hundreds of worlds across the galaxy. Then, a cataclysmic event happened and Earth fell. Those humans trapped on the other worlds evolved into diverse beings and forged powerful cultures. Almost all agnatus sapiens are linked together by the omni-entity that is the Prime Collective.

History

Agnatus sapiens means in Latin ‘a relative in the line of man’ for agnatus sapiens hold direct ancestral links to homo sapien sapiens. They are descendants of a vast group of humans that left Earth around 7,000 BC. According to the lore of the agnatus, humanity had created a powerful technological empire, one that had begun to colonize remote systems by some unknown transportation method. Almost all the mythos of the agnatus cultures have that some horrible event happened on Earth. This caused humanity to collaspe and erased all signs of their powerful empire, reseting the technological clock.

The survivors that were scattered on the various systems slowly evolved their racial lines into radically new races. They had to start over, molding to their planets and creating new technologies and cultures centered around their new habitats. These new species lost almost all records of their origins as they adapted to their various planetary systems . They were almost entirely an entirely new genetic structure. However, one can still trace all the agnatus sapiens genetics back to basic human roots.

Eventually, the agnatus sapiens formed empires, federations and kingdoms, spreading across the galaxy. All shared similar traits, including derivatives of a similar language. As the various agnatus sapien societies met and mingled, a cultural and social tradition emerged that binded together the loose civilizations. Overtime, this evolved into the civilization of the Prime Collective.
